So here we go -
3 questions you must ask yourself for your business
Who, EXACTLY, is my ideal customer?
When asking yourself this question, focus on the ideal person that you would want to work with, or what would they be like.
There are two reasons for asking this question
The first is just because someone has money doesn’t mean you want to work with them.
For instance there was a time, when I just got started, one of my customers asked if I could guarantee that he would make money. Obviously I said no, there is no guarantee you’ll make money with this product as I mentioned in several sales pages, meetings and on the checkout page. I can’t guarantee it because I don’t know how much time and effort you are going to spend for your success.
I didn’t know this person but he went off in the online group, creating issues for others. I of course eliminated him from the group, and haven’t heard from him since.
But after that incident I had to ask myself is this the type of person I want to work with and the answer was a definite NO.
So I had to make a list of the characteristics and qualities that my ideal work person would have. Be as clear as possible about the characteristics and qualities that you are looking for in the type of person that you want to work with.
By being clear with the type of person that you want to work with the clearer you are with the type of content you want to put out. If you’re clear on who you want to work with you will know exactly what they are looking for, what questions they are asking and what they need to know to be successful, this way you can position yourself in front of them with the content they are looking for.
Where does my IDEAL customer hang out?
Where are they hanging out online? What websites are they using, social media platform, forums even which search engines are they using.
Interesting fact, the average American spends about 2.5 hrs. a day on social media. So as an affiliate marketer you might think about taking up some of that time by providing value.
Give your audience what they are looking for.
There are three ways of delivering your content, by entertaining, educating or inspiring. Find out what works best for you and the audience that you serve.
Now that you know the who and the where the next question is
What can I use to attract people I meet online, and get them to click on my link?
You want people to come to you, so that you can provide them with extra value and build even more trust and rapport. Do this by creating a lead magnet or lead generator (also known as landing page or opt in page). This is when you give something to your audience to get their email address.
Essentially getting the person off the social media, or where ever you met, to an email list or newsletter. This way you can contact them with you valuable content.
This Is Very Important
When you get their email, do not spam or come off as salesy
No one wants to be sold. Instead,
focus on the desired results the person wants, show them how you can get them there.
While providing that content you should ask yourself. Why should someone buy from you and not someone else, promoting the same product?
What is the unique result that you can provide to your customers that no one else can. Understand, that there are a lot of people in the affiliate marketing industry. Some of the niches are quite crowded, in order to stand out in these crowds you might have to create your own take on something that already works.
Maybe explaining the results in a different way or possibly offering bonuses that enhance the offer that you are presenting. In other words how are you going to stand out in a crowd?
I hope that these tips help you on your way to becoming a super affiliate.
